Hello, my name is Jon Warden. I'm a retired major league pitcher. I played pro ball for 8 years primarily with the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals. My best year was in 1968 when I was a member of the WORLD CHAMPION DETROIT TIGERS!!!!!!!!!! I hurt my arm the next year and was out of the game by 1973. I travel around the country doing motivational speaking, charity golf outings, celebrity baseball games, and just giving back to the game that was so great to me. Please feel free to make any comments or ask me any questions on my blog. It will be great to hear from you.

How about yesterday in the SHOW!!!!! My Tigers played pretty well yesterday even though the young rookie Rick Porcello had a shaky start. But hey fans, remember this. This kid has only 1 year of pro baseball under his belt and now he's in the SHOW. 5 inn., 5 hits 4 runs all earned, 3 walks , 2 K's. Bullpen did well until the Flame thrower Joel Zumaya got wild and walked 3, gave a hit in 1 2/3 inn. , but he hung in there and the always scary Rodney came in to close the door. But the youngster Cletus Thomas had the big blow when Angel pitcher's Arrondondo & Bulger got wild and Bulger gives up the Grand Salami to Thomas and the TIGERS WIN!!!!! WOW. My NL team down here in Cincy blew a great chance to pick up a game on the field in the Central Div., but couldn't get it done as they played a 14 inn., game and left 16 runners on base. That crap will come back and haunt the hell out of you. The Reds left over 30 runners on in the three game series and they went 1-2. A needed day off Monday and off to DC to take on the Nationals. Need a sweep over there.

Thanks for checking out our web-site, tell your friends. If you ever have any questions for me ,don't hesitate to ask me. Thanks again.

Keep Smiling,
Jon Warden

Hi Fans,
I am very sorry for the empty site, but I'm here to try and redeem myself. Not a real strong night in baseball last night but for an ex-TIGER, how about Dontrelle Willis ending his 20 month drought?????? He allowed two baserunners in the first inning and then set down 17 batters in a row. I wish I could have been at that game and heard the crowd's reaction to his performance. He is a huge piece of the puzzle for the Tigers this year as Jeremy Bonderman is still on the DL and we need Dontrelle to step up and do this again in 5 days.
Down home here is Cincinnati, the Reds are concerned with their top producer so far this year in Joey Votto. He had the flu and missed five games and now has come out of two games with dizzy spells. It's reminding Reds fans of their third baseman of a few years back, Nick Esasky who developed Vertigo and it actually ended his career. My man Trey Hillman has the Royals playing the best ball in a decade. Great comeback last night off of Kerry Wood. Jacobs & Teahen going yard back to back!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!! Stay tuned for more insight from the WARDEN!!!!!!!! Thanks for stopping in.
